JERSEY CITY — A six year old Jersey City boy who fell from a second floor window on Gifford Avenue on Saturday afternoon was in stable condition on Sunday, said Mark Rabson of Jersey City Medical Center.
The boy was rushed to JCMC and treated by the hospital trauma team and Barmabas Health, Rabson said.
Meanwhile, another person who suffered a fall in that city was not so lucky. The counterweight from a fire escape hit a 74-year-old man on the head, causing him to fall, on Saturday morning. Police found him on the ground in the back of a Kennedy Boulevard building.
The man, who worked as the building’s superintendent, was pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center, despite efforts by EMTs to save him. The victim was apparently cleaning the fire escape when the accident occurred, a police official said.
