NORTH BERGEN – A man appearing to be in his 50s was found dead in a wooded area near the lake in James J. Braddock Park on Monday between 7:30 and 8 a.m.
The body was discovered in what the authorities are calling a homeless encampment in the park. According to authorities there were no signs of foul play.
The name of the man has not yet been released, pending notification of the family. The body was found by a 38-year-old resident who lives in the encampment and said the man had been drinking.
The body was reportedly found face down in a puddle. –Art Schwartz
