A funeral mass was held May 7 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Anthony V. Campanile, 82, of Newton, formerly of Hoboken and Jersey City. He passed away May 3 at the Bristol Glenn Nursing Home in Newton. He worked as a building inspector for Jersey City for many years before retiring in 1997. Prior to that he was employed for ITT in Nutley, and also Remco Toy Company but most of his career was spent as building inspector. He was predeceased by his parents Raffaele and Congetta Campanile; a brother Thomaso, and two sisters Domenica Weber, and Vincenza Geiss. He will be missed by his nephews Thomas Golembiewski and his wife Judy, Robert Caljura, and a niece Denise Bodnar and her husband Mike, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Anthony was an avid world traveler with a particular quest for European cruising. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
