A funeral service took place April 25 at the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Township, for John M. “Jack” Coughlin, Jr., 85, born and raised in Jersey City. He lived in Woodbridge for 27 years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in 2003. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Jack was a fireman for Engine Co. No. 2 in Jersey City for 26 years before his retirement in 1987. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Church in Monroe Twp.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Walsh) (1987), his brother William Coughlan and his nephews Dennis and Patrick Crowley. He is survived by his son John M. “Jack” Coughlin, III and his wife Darlene M. of Monroe Twp.; his brother Robert Coughlan and his wife Doris of Hazlet; his sister Helen Lynch and her husband Arthur of Hazlet; his sister-in-law Doris Coughlan of Lyndhurst; his granddaughters, Courtney, Kayla and Carissa Coughlin and his nephews Timothy and Terrance Crowley. Services arranged by the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Township.
