SECAUCUS – Earth Week may be over, but in Secaucus the environmental activities continue. This year’s Green Summer Festival features a long list of activities for adults and children, including a petting zoo, rock climbing, canoe and pontoon rides, the NJ Mobile Museum, face painting, arts and crafts, and much more. Food will be available, with entertainment from live musicians.
Exhibits provide information on bats and raptors, butterflies, and bees. Green vendors and organic farmers will bring their wares, and paper shredding is available. Attendees can get free tree seedlings.
The festive event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 3 at Secaucus Xchange, 5000 Riverside Station Blvd. in Secaucus. For more information, visit www.secaucusnj.org or call (201) 860-GREEN. –Art Schwartz
