To the Editor:
As you know, election night is only a few weeks away. From the start of this campaign, we knew we were going to be out spent, but we did not let that discourage us. All around Bayonne, we have campaign signs on the houses of our supporters. Within two weeks of us launching our campaign, local businesses showed their support by contacting us, encouraging us to keep fighting, and now we are at the top of our game.
The two other candidates, Mark Smith and Jimmy Davis, don’t represent the values of the people. Both campaigns have candidates who have held office in the past and represent the same problems that got us in this situation to begin with. The other two campaigns don’t represent change, but rather the same old Hudson County politics where politicians recycle their seats in hopes to trick the public into electing them to a different office. It’s time for a fresh new start for Bayonne and we are proud to say that none of our candidates have held office before, but are more than qualified to hold council positions.
Mark Smith does not have a plan, but rather just wants to continue the failed policies which have gotten us where we are today- on the verge of losing more businesses and homeowners. Smith claims to have cut the city departments from nine to four, but nothing changed, except for the increased salaries and taxes. Jimmy Davis doesn’t have a plan and said so in his first interview with the Bayonne Community News. Davis wants you to vote for him first before he tells you anymore.

With less than two months away for your opportunity to send our candidates to city hall, we need make the right choice for Bayonne and let’s send a loud message to Mark Smith- pack your bags.
