HUDSON COUNTY — Ten teams competing in the federal project Rebuild by Design will unveil their proposals to rebuild communities across the Hurricane Sandy affected region. After months of research and working alongside local communities, the teams will share their final work with the public at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 3.
Members of the public can come and see the work and meet the teams. They can provide feedback and connect with the communities in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, where the teams worked in regional coalitions to create implementable design solutions to address future storm events.
The teams will also present their work from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 3 at 250 Vesey Street 29th floor in Manhattan.
The winning projects will be announced by Secretary Donovan of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development later this spring.
You must RSVP to info@rebuildbydesign.org to attend. Parking is free if you mention this event.
