Funeral mass took place March 11 at the Church of Our Lady of Grace in Hoboken for Rita A. Montelione, 91, a lifelong Hoboken resident. She passed away March 7 at the Hamilton Health Center in Jersey City after a lengthy stay. Rita was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1979, a local barber in Hoboken. She is survived by her cousins Margaret and William Murphy, Diane Curcio Walsh, Michael Curcio Jr, and Bunny Onorato. Rita will be missed by her companion Anthony Cappiello, and the entire Cappiello family. Mrs. Montelione was also predeceased by her cousins Joseph and Michael Curcio. Rita was a loyal employee with American Telephone and Telegraph Company in their Accounting Division, assigned over the years in New York City and Bedminster before retiring. She enjoyed Atlantic City and was well known for her assistance in coordinating the hospitality service for the bus rides there, under the guidance of Angela Clemente.
