To the Editor:
Mr. Mayor and Council why can’t you get after the Federal Government to clean around mail boxes after a big storm? They increased mail by three cents. Now let’s make it easy to get our mail out.
I want to compliment you for cleaning up the roads this winter. Now how about cleaning out the bus stops, street corners and fire hydrants? How about getting a young man or young woman and giving them a few bucks for this shoveling? I don’t think that it would bankrupt the city! Are you waiting for a senior citizen or any citizen to fall and sue the city? Here is another thought. If they can get out and around after a storm it will stimulate local business. Also the city may not have serious fires, if the firemen can get to the fire hydrants. That’s just one man’s opinion.
