To the Editor:
During the recent snowstorm, I had a question and an issue about snow removal. It was way after normal business hours but I took a shot and called city hall. To my surprise, a nice gentleman answered and was very sincere in asking me about my problem and how the city could help. He took down all my information and promised that my situation would b promptly addressed. Within 15 minutes a truck arrived and took care of my concerns. The employees even rang my bell to make sure I was satisfied.
I called City Hall back because I wanted the Mayor to know how well I was treated. The same gentleman answered and I asked him to relay my thanks to Mayor Smith. I was totally surprised when he laughed and said, “I am Mayor Smith.”
Everyone in Bayonne should know that we have a mayor who really cares about our community. I was impressed that he answered the phone and took care of my problem. The recent weather has taken its toll on everyone but it is clear that our Mayor and all city employees are working hard to keep our community safe.
Thank you, Mayor Smith and all of the city workers. Keep up the good work.
