A memorial mass was held Feb. 8 at St. Matthew’s RC Church, Ridgefield, for Lucia Holm. Born in Naples, Italy, she died Feb. 4. She was the wife of the late Stanley G. Holm who died in 1997; mother of Anthony Holm of Middletown, and his wife Diane, Anna Maria Messina of Ischia/Naples, Italy and her husband Pietro, and Linda Nobile of Ridgefield, and her husband Ricky; grandmother of Bartolo, Luciano, Pamela and Michael Messina, Anthony and Mary Lucia Holm, and Felicia Cammarano Leon; great-grandmother of eight great-grandchildren; aunt of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Gaetano and Carmine Vittozzi, by her sisters Clorinda Vuolo, Antonietta Wildey and Elena Hills, and also by her sister-in-law Shirley Ahlm.
Lucia came to the United States as a war bride in 1946, and she lived in Minneapolis, Minn. before moving to Weehawken in the 1950s. She was a homemaker for her family whose needs always came first, and she was friend to all, especially those in need. Cremation was private. Services arranged by the Blackley Funeral Home, Ridgefield.
