A memorial service was held Feb. 4 for Nicholas F. Costantino, 74, of Secaucus, formerly of Union City. He passed away Jan. 28. Nick was a self-employed Certified Public Accountant since 1969 with the last 28 years in Secaucus. Nick held the position of vice-president of the Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a member of SCPA Political Action Committee where he served as chairman. In keeping with his personal commitment to community and local charities, Nick was a commissioner of the Secaucus Housing Authority. He previously served 15 years as chairman of the Board of Trustees of Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center. Nick was the co-founder, treasurer, and trustee of the Harmony Early Learning Center of the Meadowlands Ministries. Nick was also a member of the Secaucus Kiwanis Club and was the first president of the Harmon Cove II Condominium Association. Nick’s distinguished accomplishments and tireless years of service have been acknowledged on the federal and state levels. Both the US Senate and House of Representatives, along with the Senate and General Assembly have recognized his invaluable dedication to enhancing the lives of his community and this state.
Nick is survived by Jo-Ann Costantino, his wife of 50 years; his sons Nicholas A. Costantino of Hoboken and Councilman Robert Costantino of Secaucus; his three grandsons, Anthony, Alex and Dean; his sister, Andrea Baldino; and numerous relatives, friends, associates, and clients. His love and devotion to his family is what will be most remembered. Services arranged by the Mack Memorial Home, Secaucus.
