A funeral mass was celebrated Jan. 7 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Theresa M. Durand, 96. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Caldwell on Jan. 2. A lifelong Hoboken resident, Theresa was a retired teacher’s aide in the Hoboken school district. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, James F. Durand. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Schlendorf; her granddaughter, Barbara Schaffer and her husband Kurt; and two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Kaylee. Theresa was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Prior Schlendorf Sr. on Dec. 6 and her grandson, Prior Jr. Also surviving are her sisters, Rose Vella and Carmella Frawley, and a host of nieces and nephews, especially MaryAnn Ardito.
