Funeral services were held Dec. 23 for William J. Hansen, 85. He passed away peacefully on Dec. 17 at his residence in California. William was born in Jersey City and has lived all over New Jersey. He spent the last year in Torrance, Calif. He was a retired cost accountant for Burlington Industries in New York City for over 34 years. He served his country in the Army and Navy. In his free time, he loved to cook gourmet food. He was the husband of the late Jane B.; father of Richard W. Hansen, Thomas A. Hansen, Kristin Matsuda; grandfather of Brittany Hansen, Tyler Hansen, Sophie Matsuda, Mathilde Matsuda, Candice Matsuda; brother of the late Gertrude Romano, Martin Hansen, Harold Hansen, Eleanor Hansen, and Joan Norris. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the G. Keenan O’Brien Funeral Home, Bayonne.
