Bajor, Radil spark Bengals

Needing just one more victory to clinch a trip to the JCC of Bayonne Indoor Flag Footballs Sr. Division Championship round the (7-1) Bengals geared up to take on the (3-5) Chargers. Right from the opening whistle the Bengals dominated as Drew Radil made it 6-0 with a TD grab while interceptions by James Bajor and Malachi Smith kept the Chargers offense at bay. In a matter of minutes the Bengals stormed out to a commanding 30-0 lead as Malachi Smith, Michael Tedesco and Drew Radil notch TDs while James Bajor and a defensive safety tacked on four more points. The Chargers briefly slowed the tide with an Alejandro Cifuentes “pick” but one play later the Bengals James Bajor answered with his second interception of the bout. For the Bengals the points kept racking up as Jared Radil hauled in a TD pass while Malachi Smith’s two point catch made it 38-0. The Chargers offense needed points quickly but once again the Bengals James Bajor had other ideas as he wrapped up his third interception to end a promising drive by the Chargers. Soon after the turnover the Bengals lead ballooned to 44-0 as Bajor added a TD to his highlight reel. Trailing by a heap the Chargers finally got on the board as James Johnson drilled a TD toss to Alejandro “See Ya” Cifuentes and a two point dart to Adrianna “Magic” Morrone making it 44-8, Bengals. For the Bengals they stayed on course as a wire to wire bomb from Drew Radil to Malachi Smith made it a 50-8 game. With the game well in hand the Bengals defense added a second safety to make it 52-8. While the score told part of the story the Chargers kept battling as Ryan Giocoli and James Johnson each picked off passes in the final quarter. With time running out the Chargers closed out the scoring as Ahmad McGill’s two key tosses set up a Johnson TD gallop and Jazmine Garcia’s diving two point grab but the Bengals victory was secure at 52-16.
