A funeral mass was celebrated Dec. 2 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Nancy Pelli, 85, of Jersey City. She passed away Nov. 28. Born in Jersey City, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Caterina DeMarco. She was a retired custodian from P.S. 6 in Jersey City, having worked there for 20 years. She enjoyed many trips to the casinos, especially the Casino in Yonkers, and faithfully played the Pick-It. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent Pelli, Sr. and her sons David Pelli and Vincent Pelli, Jr. She was the mother of Catherine Dougherty and her husband Dennis, Frances Rodriguez, Joseph Pelli and his wife Barbara, Linda Nugent and her husband Timmy, Nancy Fischel and her husband Eddie, Lisa Balestrieri and her husband Bobby and John Pelli; sister of Louis and Salvatore DeMarco, Theresa Caperina, Anna Carroll, Mildred McCormack and the late Joseph, Nicholas, Michael and Anthony DeMarco. She is also grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren in addition to being survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Introcaso Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
