HFHA thanks Hoboken

Dear Editor:
Before the members and supporters of Hoboken Fair Housing Association step back, relax and breath a huge sigh of relief, we are taking a few minutes to pen a letter expressing our sincerest gratitude to all of our friends and neighbors that voted no on the Hoboken Public Question intended to severely weaken rent protections here in Hoboken…again. A year ago, we expressed this same gratitude for our election victory on the very same ballot question. Thank you one and all from the bottom of our hearts for, once again, standing up to defend Hoboken’s renters and, this time, for defending democracy too. Ours is a true David and Goliath tale which could not have succeeded without the many residents that all played a role and, of course, the 5,144 residents that turned out on Election Day and increased our margin of victory over last year’s result. We endured again….we all voted…again and we won….again!
With much gratitude and humility from the members of the Hoboken Fair Housing Association.
