JERSEY CITY – According to a report on NJ.com, Robert Antonicello has stepped down as executive director of the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency (JCRA). Antonicello told NJ.com that his last day at the agency was last Friday.
Antonicello, who had headed the JCRA since 2006, declined to give the news site further details regarding his separation agreement with the autonomous agency.
Last month, NJ.com reported that Mayor Steven Fulop said Antonicello should either resign or be fired by the JCRA’s board of commissioners, due to what Fulop called Antonicello’s “unethical and imprudent business decisions.”
The mayor did not elaborate on what those alleged business decisions might be.
