Just a few words to thank the citizens of Bayonne and the ever-expanding surrounding communities for their support of the James N. Rentas 6th Annual Walk For Cancer Research. The response shown at the Stephen R. Gregg Park on September 22 was again overwhelming!
A special thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, organizers, and members of the teams. We had 24 teams this year! We are thrilled that you and your families and friends have joined this very worthwhile event. We could not be successful without you. It is heartwarming to see our efforts rewarded with more teams and more individuals participating each year to help keep “Our Jimmy’s Memory Alive” and raise much needed money for further research. It is because of people like you that Dr. Nancy Kemeny and her team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, along with other dedicated researchers, are getting closer to a cure.
