Coastal storm brings rain Thursday and Friday; some call it ‘weak’ nor’easter

HUDSON COUNTY — Forecasters say that moisture left over from Tropical Storm Karen will enhance the rain and wind predicted for Thursday and Friday in our area. A few news sources have called the new storm a “weak” nor’easter, although most news sources just call it two days of rain.
Regardless, a small craft advisory and a coastal flood statement are in effect for the area.
The Accuweather forecast, which you can find by clicking the icon in the upper right of HudsonReporter.com, says rain will begin around 9 a.m. Thursday morning and may continue into Saturday morning.
