JERSEY CITY — A premature baby boy who was found in a garbage bag in Jersey City over Labor Day weekend was said to be in stable condition on Monday, according to news reports.
The 3-pound baby was found by three teenagers who heard noises, looked in the bag, and notified neighbors of what they found. Neighbor Rebecca Womers, a mother of two, blew oxygen into the baby’s mouth.
Building supervisor Arturo Rivas called 911, according to published reports. The baby was taken to Jersey City Medical Center.
