A mass of Christian burial took place Aug. 21 at St. Aloysius Church for Annie T. Giambalvo, 82. She passed away Aug. 16. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Annie was equipment manager for the Recreational Life Center at St. Peter’s University for over 20 years, retiring in 1999. She was a longtime communicant of St. Aloysius Church, very active in church activities. Annie was a member of the Senior Citizens club of Our Lady of Mercy Parish as well as St. Peter’s Prep Parents Association and St. Dominic Academy Mothers Club. Annie is predeceased by her husband Rosario (Russ) Giambalvo, mother of Michael Giambalvo and wife Patricia and Mariann Finistrella and husband Joseph; dearest sister of Rose Serpico and husband John; grandmother of Michael, Joseph, Nicole, Mathew, Marisa and Russ; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Annie is also predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
