Crossing the line

Dear Editor:
When an elected official crosses party lines that elected official should be commended. Recently we learned that Union City Mayor and State Senator Brian P. Stack is endorsing current Republic Governor Chris Christie for re-election. The governor’s opponent Democrat State Senator Barbara Buono openly stated that Brian P. Stack is wrong for endorsing the governor. Senator Buono is not in touch with what is good for the State of New Jersey. When Christie became governor he inherited a budget that was headed for bankruptcy. The pension that is so important to so many teachers, policemen, and firemen were at risk of collapsing. Furthermore, at the present time in Washington D.C, Republican and Democrats are apart from for signing a historic bill that will give permanent residence to over eleven million uninvited guests. When an issue is good for the country, we need elected officials that will vote for the issue and not for the party line.
In closing I will predict a landslide victory for Governor Christie because Democrats of New Jersey have no problem voting for a solid governor that is the front runner to run for president of United States of America. Once again, Mayor Stack does not forget that Governor Christie has been a good friend to Union City and that is what counts to Brian.

With Respect,
Raul ‘Pico’ Marquez
