A funeral mass was offered Aug. 2 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Jersey City, for Bunny Contey, 73. She passed away July 29 at her home. Born Elizabeth Donza in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Rose and John Donza, she settled in Jersey City 56 years ago. She was employed as an executive secretary at Jersey City Incinerator Authority for 16 years. She retired in 2006. Bunny was a member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady of Mercy Church. She was an animal advocate, and noted for her culinary expertise. Predeceased by her husband, Rudy Contey, her siblings, Roseann Blois and her husband Fred, Michael Donza and George Costanzo, she is survived by her siblings, Louis Costanzo, Robert Costanzo, Anna Cunningham and her husband William and Richard Costanzo and his wife Cindy and her step-daughter Susan DeAndrea and her husband Emidio. She was the aunt of Rick Blois and his wife Donna, their children, Andrea and her husband Christian Booker, Lisa Starita and Robert, Briana and Dominick Blois and grandchildren, Julia, Noah, Sara, Nicholas, Madeline, Nitalia, Christian, Jr., Sicilia and Jacob; Michael Donza and his wife Lili, their children Elizabeth and her husband Matt, Jacqueline and her husband Jared and Michael, Jr., who was her godson and their granddaughter Gulianna and the late Steven Blois and Debra Donza. Bunny loved her pets, Mayor, Yogi, Hercules, Mindy, Bruno and Leonardo and the late Dede. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
