A funeral mass was offered Aug. 6 at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church in Hoboken for Concetta Calabrese, 88, of Hoboken. She passed away Aug. 3 at Hoboken University Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Monte San Giacomo, Italy to the late Pietro and Anna Romano, Concetta immigrated to the United States in 1971, settling in Hoboken. She was a seamstress for many years working for various coat manufactures in Hoboken. Concetta was also a member of St. Ann’s Padre Pio society. She was predeceased by her husband Antonio Calabrese in 1999. Concetta will be missed by her children Rosa Caporrino and her husband Michael, Anna Percontino and her husband Frank, and Pasquale Calabrese and his wife Rosa; and her sister’s: Maria Capuano and Antoinette Baglivi. A great joy in Concetta’s life were her grandchildren Angela, Concetta, Michelina, Concetta, Carmela, Francesca, and Anthony; and her great grandchildren: Alyse, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jacob, Michael, and Marcello.
