WEST NEW YORK — A bus on Boulevard East on the West New York waterfront apparently jumped a curb and hit a lamppost, which fell onto a baby carriage and killed an 8-month-old baby, according to a report on NJ.com.
A resident told the news outlet that a bus was stopped on the long boulevard, near 56th Street. When it started up again, it somehow struck the post and caused a chain reaction that hit three parked cars as well.
The mother was not physically harmed, but she and the bus driver were taken to the hospital, the report said.
