MOYENO, EMERITA

A funeral mass took place July 22 at St. Josephs RC. Church, Hoboken, for Emerita Moyeno, 91 of Secaucus. She passed away peacefully on July 16 at Palisades General Hospital, North Bergen, surrounded by her family. Emerita was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and came to Hoboken in 1958; she lived in Secaucus for the past 30 years. Emerita worked for Art Craft Knitting Mills in Hoboken on Clinton Street for many years. She was the wife of the late Rogelio Moyeno; mother of Manuela Badillo and her husband Ovidio, Iris Badillo and her husband Jesus, Angel Moyeno and his wife Nellie, and Wilfredo Moyeno and his wife Ana; grandmother of Erik Badillo, Rogi Badillo, Abram Badillo, Luis Moyeno, Wilfredo Moyeno, Christian Moyeno, David Moyeno, Alyssa Moyeno, Rosemarie Matos, and Tanya Oquendo; sister of Maria Serrano, Juan Serrano, Carmen Serrano, Pedro Serrano, and Bienvenido Serrano; also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
