A funeral mass was offered July 22 at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Jersey City, for Cheryl Elaine Jackson Martin of Sanford, Fla., formerly of Jersey City. She passed away July 12. Cheryl graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Jersey City as well as St. Peter’s College and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. She was employed at Jersey City State College in the Educational Opportunity Program as a counselor for 15 years. Cheryl met and married Everett “Dusty” Martin in 1990 in Sanford, Fla. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Jackson Sr. She leaves to mourn, her husband, Everett: three sons, Keith, Jerome and Dominique; her mother Emma Louise Jackson; four grandchildren, Ebony, Brianna, Keith Jr. and JaShawn; one sister, Gwendolyn Jackson; and two brothers, Richard Jackson Jr.(Perry) and William “Billy” Jackson. Also survived by a host of many other relatives and friends. Services arranged by the Watson Mortuary Service, Jersey City.
