HOBOKEN — When the lower half of Hoboken was flooded by Hurricane Sandy last fall, the Jersey shore was at least as devastated. And one of the most infamous cases was when former Hoboken Mayor David Roberts’ shore home in Mantoloking Twp. wound up in the Barnegat Bay.
Today, various newspapers posted video on their website of the home being demolished. See this link for the story.
Roberts is quoted as saying, “It’s very sad for our family in watching the house sit out in the middle of the bay and thinking of all of the wonderful memories that we’ve had in that home, but we look to the future.”
