Osborne & Fulop, for a brighter Jersey City

Dear Editor:
Candice Osborne will be receiving my vote on May 14th for Ward E City Council. I know her personally to be a smart, personable, and energetic woman. Most importantly, she knows how to get things done. In fact, Glamour magazine, a national publication, agrees. They recently honored her at Glamour’s Women of the Year 2012 Awards. This is for her valued work as one of the founders of Jersey City Sandy Recovery. Her leadership was indispensable during the aftermath of Super storm Sandy.
Candice brought together 800 volunteers in our community to help serve those in need. Her community roots dig much deeper having been a longstanding active member of the Historic Paulus Hook Association. She is also a Board Member of Con Vivo, which promotes classical music and is a leader of Jersey City Complete Streets Initiative, which focuses on making our streets safer. As an M.B.A. graduate and with her entrepreneurial experience managing a business she founded, Candice will certainly be an asset to manage our municipality’s finances. As a hardworking, single mom, she understands the importance of using a finite resource most efficiently – that being your tax dollars. I think Councilwoman Osborne will be a great public servant. By electing her to City Council and Steven Fulop as Mayor, Jersey City’s future will never look brighter.
