‘Thank you, Councilman Greaves’

To the Editor:
The 56th Street Senior Center recently held its annual St. Patrick’s Day Part. A very nice time was had by all who attended. We were happy to see Council President Terrence Ruane, who read a lovely St. Patrick’s Day poem which was very heart-warming.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Third Ward Councilman Ray Greaves and his association for sponsoring the event with food and refreshments.
It was also wonderful to see Councilman Greaves joining in with the songs and dancing with the seniors. It is very comforting to know that the seniors can count on you and Mayor Mark Smith for your ongoing support of senior activities and issues that confront our seniors.
In addition, we would be remiss to not thank June Sturz and the Bayonne Senior Orchestra, who always put on a terrific show. You’re not getting older; you’re getting better each time you perform. Everyone enjoyed your musical entertainment. It is events such as this that truly make Bayonne such a wonderful city and allow the seniors of Bayonne to gather for the sake of some very good times.
To all who helped in any way to make the day successful, we thank you very much! We obviously could not have made this day possible without your hard work and dedication to the center.
