A funeral blessing was offered March 28 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City for Eleanor M. Jeffers, 92. She passed away at the Chelsea Assisted living in Toms River on March 25. Born in Jersey City, Eleanor remained a Jersey City resident and communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, moving to Toms River only two years ago. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jeffers; son Robert Jeffers and niece and nephew Sharon and Roy. She is survived by her son Dennis Jeffers and his wife Elaine; four grandsons, Dennis, Jr., Leyland, Robert and Jeremy; three great granddaughters, Lidia, Adriana and Periwinkle Jeffers; and five nieces, Barbara, Joan, Patricia, Maureen and Janice.
