A mass of Christian burial was held March 21 at St. Aedan’s Church for Bernadine Cecilia, 76. She passed away at Christ Hospital on March 13. Born in Jersey City, Bernadine was a lifelong Jersey City resident. She worked for many years in the Dietary Department of Jersey City Medical Center and as a 911 Dispatch Operator in the Seventh Precinct. She was later the bookkeeper and office manager for her husband, William Wright’s plumbing business. She was a wife and mother and an avid Bingo player and parishioner of both St. Aedan’s and St. Nicholas Church where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Bernadine was predeceased by her husband, William M Wright, Sr. She is survived by her son, William M. Wright, Jr. and his wife Valerie and daughter, Lorraine Anne Coughlin and her husband David, Jr.; sister, Mary Handlowich; grandsons, William M. Wright, III, Christopher Wright and David Coughlin; and great granddaughter, Bridget Coughlin. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
