DRENNAN, STEPHAN ANDREW, Sr.

A funeral mass was held Feb. 16 at St. Anne’s Church for Stephan Andrew Drennan, Sr., 80. He died Feb. 12 at his residence. A true native son, Steve was born in Jersey City and remained a life long resident, dedicated to his community. He served with honor during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, 1st Cavalry Division and 5th Cavalry Regiment. Steve married the love of his life and best friend Frances in 1956 and together they raised their family while he served Jersey City as a firefighter for 32 years. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Frances (Coughlan) Drennan; grandson, William Stephan Bono; sisters, Frances Drennan and Jane Dexter and brothers, John, Thomas and Kenneth Drennan. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Frances (Clark) Drennan; daughters, Sharon Carlino (Charles), Frances Durak (Thomas); sons Patrick, Stephan, Jr. (Jodi) and Joseph (Olga); sister, Florence Flannery; brothers, Raymond and Gerald (Lorraine); 11 grand children and 1 great grandchild. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
