Construction on American Dream to resume in March

SECAUCUS AND BEYOND – American Dream Project Director Tony Armlin said Wednesday that work at the site would begin early in March and that the megamall and entertainment center on Route 3, formerly known as Xanadu, would open at the Meadowlands Sports Complex by autumn 2014 according to The Record.
According to the report, Armlin made an informal appearance before the Bergen County Improvement Authority and also said that crews would begin work before the financing structure for the project was in place, which is expected to be completed by May.
The $3.7 billion American Dream project, on Route 3 by the MetLife Stadium, includes a mega mall, entertainment center, and indoor ski park. The project had been stalled since 2009 due to financial woes until the developer Triple Five stepped in.
