POLICASTRO, FRANK A.

A funeral mass was offered Feb. 4 at St. Anne’s R.C. Church Hoboken for Frank A. Policastro Frank A. Policastro, 65. He passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 1 surrounded by his family. Surviving are his wife “Liz” Policastro, a daughter Ginny and her husband Ed Vega, and his grandsons, Peter and Daniel. Frank is also survived by his sister, Betty and her husband Ken Schwartz, a brother Vinny Policastro, a sister in law Ginny and her husband Frank Clarke, a brother in law Joe Carnevale, cousins, Edith and Gaye Anne Bruno and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Phyllis Policastro and a brother, Gerard.
Frank served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He was employed by Verizon for 34 years as a switchman/technician and retired in 2003. After residing in Hoboken for 55 years, Frank and his family moved to Point Pleasant Beach, however he remained an active parishioner of St. Anne’s R.C. Church, and a member of the Holy Name Society.
He took great pride in his volunteerism at the annual festival. He especially enjoyed being able to assist in carrying the 600 pound statue of Saint Anne on her feast day. He lived his life for his family, faith and friends. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
