A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph’s Church, Jersey City, for Rose A. Manzo, 78, of Jersey City. She passed away at Cusack Care Center on Jan. 29. Born in Jersey City she moved to Keansburg briefly, but returned to Jersey City, where she had remained dedicating herself to her family and her community. She worked at both Scerbo Aloi and Joiners Florists for many years as well as serving as a crossing guard at Magnolia and Baldwin Avenues. Rose was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church and School where she participated in Bingo, the Parents Club and the annual Carnival. Rose is survived by her husband and best friend of 57 years, Michael Manzo; her daughters, Rose Manzo and Michelle Badillo and her husband Henry; granddaughters, Jenna Manzo and Mia Badillo; godson, Louis Arturi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention. She was predeceased by her siblings, Lilly, Rita, Ronnie, Thomas and Donald. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
