A funeral mass was offered Jan. 23 at St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge, for Todd George Bourke, 52, of Woodbridge. He passed away Jan. 20 at home. Born in Jersey City, he resided there before moving to Woodbridge 12 years ago. Mr. Bourke was a communicant of St. James R.C. Church in Woodbridge. He was a Jersey City Police officer for nearly 24 years. He was a member of the State Fraternal Order of Police, The Jersey City Police Officers Benevolent Association, and The Jersey City Police Officers Emerald Society. He was predeceased by his father Paul Bourke who passed away in 2000; and a brother P.J. Bourke who passed away in 2000. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lisa Marie Shipe Bourke; a daughter Ivy Claire Bourke; his mother Catherine Watts Bourke of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two sisters Rebecca Bourke of Little Silver, and Karen Catania and her husband Richard of Fort Lauderdale; two brothers Rickard Bourke of Little Silver, and Mark Bourke and his wife Maureen of England; a brother in law, Wayne Shipe and his wife Gail of Union, and many nieces and nephews.
