A mass of Christian burial took place Jan. 12 at St. Aloysius Church for Michael A. Nestor, 45. He passed away Jan. 8. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Michael was a 1985 graduate of St. Peter’s Prep and went on to graduate from HCCC Culinary Arts Institute. He was employed as head chef at the Casino in the Park for 20 years and most recently, for Cusack Care Center for the past two years. Michael loved cooking and fishing. Michael was the father of Gabrielle and Adrianna Nestor; son of Alice (nee: Starnes) and Patrick J. Nestor; brother of Christine Braswell (Craig), Robert Nestor (Paulina), Edward Nestor, JCPD (Kelly) and Patrick Nestor, JCFD. Michael is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Services arranged by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City.
