A funeral liturgy was celebrated Jan. 4 at St. Mary’s R C Church, Barnegat, for Augusta A. Puleo, age 94, of Lanoka Harbor. She passed away Dec. 30 at Manahawkin Nursing Center. Augusta was born in Litchfield, Conn. and was formerly of North Bergen, moving to Lanoka Harbor in 2004. Mrs. Puleo was a past communicant of St. Bridget’s RC Church in North Bergen and Our Lady of Libera RC Church in West New York. She also belonged to the North Bergen Lioness. She was a bookkeeper for J.D. Construction of Cresskill for 20 years retiring in 1983. Mrs. Puleo was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1947 and her companion of many years Theodore P. Failla in 1996. Surviving are her daughter and son in law Elaine and Ken Galm of Barnegat and three grandchildren Lisa Tussie, Douglas and Thomas Galm. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren Desiree, Sydney, Max, Jack, Abby, Christopher and Mia. Services arranged by the Bugbee Riggs Funeral Home, Barnegat.
