NORTH BERGEN — The man whose body was discovered Monday morning behind a Tonnelle Avenue gas station in North Bergen has been identified through fingerprints. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office identified him Wednesday as Darryl J. Williams, 24, believed to be from Essex County.
The man was found on Monday around 8 a.m. by a passer-by who called 911. His hands were bound behind his back and his body was in a dirt lot behind the gas station, on the ground.
The prosecutor’s office said the death was a homicide but did not release any more details about the cause of death or possible motive, due to the ongoing investigation.
