To the Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in helping during the week after Hurricane Sandy hit our community, leaving residents without power for quite a while.
I must thank Fr. Vinh, Fr. Eric and Buddy of St. Vincent’s for allowing the Gary La Pelusa Association to open the basement of the church for the entire week and having people come into the basement to have some hot food, desserts, cold and hot beverages. They were even able to charge cell phones if they needed to.
I want to thank Mona Lisa Pizza for donating the pizza for the entire week. I want to thank those people who donated trays of food: Malou for the pasta, and Dawn for the kielbasa and sauerkraut.
I would like to thank Maryann and Vincent Angrosina, John Budnik, Dawn Guthrie, and Larry Sangi for donating water, and my wife Cherie. I really do appreciate all of your help. Thank you again.
