Dear Editor:
Gov. Christie denies climate change, claiming the science is over his head. Yet he holds a BA from the University of Delaware and a JD from Seton Hall University. My colleagues at Rutgers University warned NJ Transit a year ago that Hoboken would flood, yet, following the Governor’s lead, NJ Transit denies climate change and parked railcars and locomotives where they could be destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. And no one has resigned for this mistake.
NJ Transit knows that the PATH service from Hoboken was not running, it knows that before the holidays there is increased volume on Rte 126 buses into Manhattan, yet the service is inadequate and does not meet demand. Will anyone resign for this planning failure?
