Dear Editor:
We the tenants of Church Towers would like to express our sincere appreciation for all the help Billy Torre and his team of Building 10 did for us during Hurricane Sandy. When Michael Russo got us the generators, Billy and some tenants ran a stream of Christmas lights from the 10th floor stairwell down to the lobby. Everybody who had cell phones were able to charge up so that they can get in touch with their love ones.
Michael Russo came to the rescue with a pasta night during the blackout. Tenants and friends were all welcome. Mike’s house was packed the whole night.
We would also like also like to acknowledge Michael Russo and other tenants for donating food for the BBQ and volunteer cooks. Also Lucille Burke for making sure the coffee was always ready.
It was nice to see how everyone united together and pitch in during this horrific time of need. We were put to a test with Hurricane Sandy and we passed with flying colors.
