To the Editor:
On Thursday, Nov. 1, during the power outage, I had to call the Bayonne Fire Department to pump out over three inches of water in our basement. We were concerned that the water would reach our two boilers. They arrived within 10 minutes and pumped out water for over two hours. The crew could not have been any more helpful and efficient, and they also offered to check our roof for any wind damage.
On Friday, Nov. 2, I had to call again as water was starting to rise. Again they arrived within 10 minutes. The City of Bayonne can be proud of these two crews, Tower Ladder 2, Group 3, Capt. Bartus, FFD Korzon, FFC Sisk, and Tower Ladder 2, Capt. Derogatis, Firefighter Stazak, and Firefighter Reynolds.
