HOBOKEN — Buses were lined up at a virtual standstill in Hoboken’s Washington Street this morning. NJ Transit Tweeted around 10 a.m. that there might be 10 to 15 minute traffic delays due to congestion at the tunnel. Transit agencies, when contacted, gave no further information.
Earlier this week, two crashes near the tunnel caused massive delays. But Thursday morning’s backups seemed even more dense in Hoboken than on Monday.
Rush hour commutes have been delayed for the last two weeks due to portions of the PATH system being out of commission after Hurricane Sandy.
