My wife and I would like to thank Janis Demellier, aide of Congressman Albio Sires. We were having troubles with getting our tax refund back since January. I have been sending the same tax forms in for the last 16 years since I retired. It was a simple form, as I am on a fixed income from a pension for 27 years and a social security check for 15 years.
We never had trouble till this year. I waited till July and kept getting the same answers: it is still in processing.
I went to City Hall, where Congressman Albio Sires has an office where we met with Janis, who listened to our problem. She said she would look into it. It took a while but she did get my problem corrected. We received my tax refund last month. Thank you, Janis, for all you have done for us.
