Funeral mass was offered Oct. 10 at St. Ann’s R.C. Church for Antoinette Luongo. “Netta,” a lifelong resident of Hoboken, passed away Oct. 6 in the presence of her sons Thomas L. III and his wife Madeline, Robert L. and his wife Denise. Netta was predeceased by her husband Thomas V. “Tippy” Luongo in November 2011, and four sisters: Vera Bartoli, Josephine Pasculli, Frances Principe, and Dolores Favata. Surviving are two additional sisters Gloria Buonarota, and Nancy Tucillo and a Aunt Catherine Petrillo. Netta was a special grandmother to Eric, Kira, Thomas, and Matthew. Mrs. Luongo was sales manager at the Casual Corner in Newport J.C., before that she was employed with the Paper Boutique Gift Shop in Hoboken, prior Netta worked as a seamstress, and at the age of 16 worked at Carlo’s Pastry Shop on Adams Street. She was a member of the Republican Club in Hoboken. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
