HOBOKEN AND JERSEY CITY — A train derailed Monday morning in Hoboken, near the Jersey City border. The derailment occurred over the Marin Boulevard and Henderson
Street overpass. The train had no passengers aboard it and the derailment did not impact commuter trains which are on a regular holiday schedule.
A crane was being transported from New York to Hoboken in order to remove the locomotive.
Marin Blvd between Observer Highway and 18th Street in Jersey City was temporarily closed to traffic.
