Halloween decorations around town

Houses transformed into night of the living dead

North Bergen and Guttenberg are decorating their houses in preparation for the trick-or-treaters to come. Halloween began as the Celtic festival of the dead. Celtics, who lived 2,000 years ago in Ireland, believed that Oct. 31 was the time of the year which the ghosts of the dead were able to coexist with the living.
